number 11 - BIG FAT TICK
There have been many takers for this one (Buzz and Annabelle I am still up for a girlie skate) but it doesn't get any better than this;
A pre christmas INSET day
Guy taking a day off work
My 3 gorgeous children (1 sleeping soundly rinkside!)
A cold winters day
A beautiful backdrop
A tick on the list!
We had just the most amazing time. The rink at the Natural History Museum has a 200 person capacity - on a Friday morning at 10am there were.... 9 people on the ice! The children were amazing - shrugging off the concept of holding hands and clinging to the edge and loving being on the ice. For me it was a step back in time to days spent hanging out at the Queensway Ice rink (only with better scenery!) and I loved every minute of it. It's like riding a bike (so I'm told) you really don't forget and whilst I have never mastered backwards I did find myself swooshing over the ice, the wind in my hair and a wistful smile on my face. Alternatively that may have been bumbling across the ice grinning like a loon but hey I LOVED IT and like all the good stuff on the list, I am doing it again...soon!
A perfect 10 (and I'm not talking size of jeans here!)

This all sounds so wonderful! A really nice day for the family. I would like however, to voice my concern about number 15 on your list. The IDEA of 24 child-free hours seems sooooo nice in actuality it is almost more stressful than if they are around. Besides, in time there will be days, if not weeks on end that you will wish you could just go and snatch them up for hugs and kisses. I imagine these days seem far far away but like most things all of the sudden they just happen. Good luck with the list however, it does sound like a bit of a good time.
Best Wishes,
Tom Sr.
Tom thanks for your lovely comment, and I'm sure you're right about the days when they wont want me around :-( However with 3 children 5yrs and under it's far enough away for me to think that 24 hours without being followed to the toilet would be.....heaven!
Just had a peep at your blog. if ever you're in London and fancy coming to our home game to play with the likes of Guy 'the Iceman' Bowles or 'Scary' Sarah McLeod (or indeed me) you're very welcome x
