Good Times

OK, so there is nothing about movies on the list but yesterday I had a very good time and I felt it deserved a mention in my year of silly things. Janie and I on the spur of the moment decided to bunk off being 'Mum' and run away to the movies. We spent a very jolly few hours aboard The Boat that Rocked.

It has had the most dreadful reviews and yes it is overly long, confused as to it's own identity, self indulgent and silly but then so were the 60's (I hear tell) It is also sad, (I never thought the phrase 'fuck load of boats' would make me cry ) and very very funny with flashes of brilliance!

It more than made up for the dreadful waste of my life which the following 4 or 5 hours proved to be - but that's another post!
